Men 2 Miles 196 Prostates 0

Chris and David have known each other since school in the mid 80's, going to the same university and staying close friends for over forty years. We've shared many experiences, good and bad, but both being diagnosed with prostate cancer in our 50's certainly isn't our favourite. Luckily, we were both able to be treated quickly and (fingers always crossed) successfully.

We decided now is a good time to do something we've talked about for a decade or more, and to use that as an opportunity to raise money and give something back to people and places that help people deal with a prostate cancer diagnosis and, hopefully, treatment.

We have chosen to take on the challenge of the Coast to Coast Walk across the north of England, following the famous Wainwright route. We're starting early October and planning to finish two weeks and 196 miles later.

We've chosen two charities to raise money for - Prostate Cancer UK and Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust. It's entirely your choice as to how you'd like to split your donation between them. This page shows the combined total we've raised but you have to enter your donation on a separate JustGiving page for each charity. There are links on both pages to take you easily from one page to the other if you want to split your donation. Sorry if it seems a bit clunky - just let us know if you have any problems donating.

Northwestern Hospital

For our friends in the US, I (Chris) was treated at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and my brother-in-law (also named Chris) is currently being treated there. The link above is a way to support them. Since we are not tracking these donations it would be lovely if you want let us know.
